About Us

The Senior Associate Dean for Education is Professor Sharon L. R. Kardia, PhD the Millicent W. Higgins Collegiate Professor of Epidemiology.  The Office of the Senior Associate Dean for Education supports the work of school's Advisory Council on Academic Programs (ACAP), maintains the schools academic policies & procedures (including the academic misconduct and student grievence processes), and provides general administrative support for the staff in the Office of Educational Programs.

Jennifer Eshelman is the Managing Director for the School of Public Health's school-wide education programs.  She partners with the Senior Associate Dean for Education to manage the units that fall under their auspices.  Her work is primarily focused on strategic planning and school-wide academic program delivery.

Zak works with the Senior Associate Dean of Education and the Managing Director to ensure communication of educational policies are outlined and detailed to individual departments.  He also coordinates and facilitates the Advisory Committee on Academic Programs.

JshirkJennifer Shirk, Instructional Designer for MPH Core

Jennifer works within the Office of the Senior Associate Dean to help design the curriculum of the MPH Core.  Her work focuses on designing lessons and course structure to aid faculty in delivering course information, as well as to enhance student understanding and performance.
